Technology Week KVK November 2009

Organised by KVK Serchhip : At KVK Complex North Vanlaiphai

Technology week was organized by KVK North Vanlaiphai, Serchhip District from 25.11.2009 to 27.11.2009. Mr. H. Darzika, Deputy Commissioner, Serchhip District was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the technology week, he stated that KVK is the main point for transfer of technology to the farmers and they plays an important role to development of Socio-economics status of the village. Mr. Lalthanmawia Vice President (AMFU) highlighted about the importance of KVK Serchhip District at their locality. He emphasized on various activities taken up by KVK which will be useful for villagers / farmers.

Outcome of the Technology week :

(1) Exposure towards various recent farm implement useful hill agriculture by KVK.

(2) Layout action photograph under Agriculture, farm machineries, Home Science etc. by Agriculture Department Serchhip District.

(3) Layout different types of Pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers and its uses by KVK

(4) Live demonstration and distribution of various seeds for RABI and KHARIF season.

(5) Layout of Different Agriculture product from different villages.

(6) Display of different types of embroidery works, dyeing and printing of cloth and preservation and value addition of fruits and vegetables under Home Science KVK.

         On the Second day, Valuable presentation was given by Subject Matter Specialists under Home Science, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, and Agriculture Extension.
